The way we operate and the way we build pools is uncommon. We only build pools with an automatic pool cover. As a leading Boise pool builder, our experience and knowledge building pools for an auto cover is incomparable. We educate and ask questions so that you know the options. Many builders know what they know so they don’t share some options that you may want. We talk proactively about water safety because we know it is a concern for some people. Some builders avoid the topic entirely. We build our pools using subcontractors so we can hire experts. Some builders have their employees do all the work so they are expert in some trades but only proficient in others.

  • For example, if your children want to swim at night with adult family supervising when you are not home and they don’t know how to turn on the pool lights, you can turn them on remotely.
  • Every pool we build includes a virtual fence that couples a camera with artificial intelligence to notify you when a child, or anyone for that matter, slips past you and enters the defined pool area. An app enables you to see live footage of your swimming pool.
  • We consider this device a supplement to a pool cover because it is useful but does not physically keep people out of the pool.
  • Every customer receives a credit to help pay for swimming lessons taught by an accredited business.

We audit the work of every trade so that you get the best result at every step, resulting in a pool that is built better. When subcontractors know their work is going to be inspected and corrections required, they are more careful to do the work correctly the first time.

The most important factor for any construction, including a swimming pool, is supervision. Expert supervision will make a project whereas poor supervision will break it. The three methods of supervision used by swimming pool contractors are described in the box to the left. Supervision of our pool projects is enhanced because we only use the first method.

In addition to auditing every trade, we install the virtual fence early in the project and tell our subcontractors that the pool area is being recorded. We can use it, or not use it, but if the tradesmen know their work is being recorded, they will behave better and perform better work.

The three methods of supervision used by swimming pool contractors are described below. Supervision of our pool projects is enhanced because we only use the first method.

  • Independent supervision (Enhanced Pools)
  • Independent supervision requires two elements: an expert that knows quality for each trade and someone that does not work for the same company as those doing the work.
  • Homeowner supervision
  • Small pool builders that do all the work for their projects have only the homeowner to hold them accountable. How are they supposed to hold a pool builder accountable if they don’t know what good quality craftsmanship looks like?
  • Company supervision
  • Some pool builders provide a superintendent to supervise each project, but they work for the builder. Might there be times when they are torn between doing what’s right for you and doing what’s right for their boss? If a homeowner does not have experience in the trade that is problematic for their job, they may end up with lower quality.

There are two models used by contractors to build pools. We only use subcontracted, expert crews.

  • Subcontracted, expert crews (Enhanced Pools)
  • A builder that uses subcontracted crews can hire experts for each specialized skill required for the best quality pool construction to deliver a superior final product.
  • Employee crews
  • Most small pool contractors have a few employees that build each pool. Most often, these crews are experts at a few of the trades but only proficient at others.
  • Rarely, a very large pool builder may use employee crews that specialize in each pool construction skill. Most pool builders can’t afford to have experts for every trade on-staff.

Building a swimming pool is a project that requires expert, proactive communication because there are so many variables and considerations.

  • We use a proprietary tool to enhance communication and transparency during the construction process to avoid misunderstandings, delays, and frustration.
  • We educate customers on options so they can make informed decisions on what they want rather than receiving what the pool builder wants them to have. Many builders don’t give customers options; they tell the customer how their pool will be designed with only menial input.
  • There are known issues with different products or processes that customers should be made aware of, so they are not surprised.
