If a pool builder tells you, or leads you to believe, that portions of your yard won’t get wrecked during construction, they are not being truthful. Your yard will absolutely get torn up in the areas where heavy equipment operates. We plan access routes to minimize our footprint. Restoring the grass and other landscaping damage is considered a separate project, outside of the scope of the swimming pool contract. However, we have landscaping and hardscape resources, so we would love to work with you to not just restore grades and turf, but also to improve the landscaping and hardscape to perfect your backyard remodel.
Most backyard timelines range from several weeks to a few months, depending on design complexity, permitting, weather, material choice, and setbacks related to the unknown (like what we’ll find when we start digging the pool). Fiberglass often installs faster because the shell arrives pre-formed, while gunite/shotcrete allows more customization and, therefore, more phases. Shotcrete pools average three to four months. In-ground vinyl pools typically take about 8 weeks. Fiberglass pools take about four to six weeks.
Safety pool covers reduce debris, evaporation, and heat loss, but they still need periodic cleaning and inspection. We recommend cleaning the top of the pool cover annually, rinsing tracks periodically, and scheduling seasonal service to remove yard debris from the pool cover box, check and restore operational alignment, and verify the pool cover motor functions correctly. An automatic pool cover can also be used as a winter cover, so you don’t have to buy a second cover to close your pool for the season.
